Our Story

Built on trust, driven by
service. The story behind
Service Today.

From one plumber to a trusted home services brand

Service Today was built on a simple idea. Homeowners should not have to settle for poor communication, unclear pricing, or unreliable trades when something goes wrong at home.
From the beginning, the goal was to create a home services business that people could genuinely feel comfortable calling. One that responds quickly, communicates clearly, turns up professionally, and takes real pride in doing the job properly.

Founder Story

The Service Today story began with a plumber who saw a clear gap in the market. While technical skill mattered, that alone was not enough to deliver the kind of experience customers were really looking for.

Founder and CEO Zak Saboune recognised that homeowners and families wanted more than a tradie who could fix the issue. They wanted someone they could trust in their home. They wanted reliable arrival times, honest advice, upfront pricing, and confidence that the job would be done properly the first time.

That insight helped shape the Service Today brand and the service standard behind it. Not just fixing problems, but delivering a better overall experience from start to finish. The current Our Story page already centres the brand around Zak Saboune, trust in the home, quality, reliability, professionalism, and the promise to provide “Service Today.”

What We Set Out To Change

Service Today was created to raise the standard of what people should expect from home services.

That means making it easier to get help quickly. It means being more transparent about pricing. It means treating customers with respect, keeping communication clear, and focusing on workmanship that lasts.

Over time, that same approach has helped Service Today grow beyond plumbing into a broader home services brand, supporting customers across plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling, security, garage doors and bathrooms. That broader service model aligns with the project discovery and current website structure.

What Drives Us

While the business has grown, the core thinking behind it has stayed the same. Customers come first.

Every part of the Service Today experience is shaped by that idea. Fast response matters because people often call when something has already gone wrong. Upfront pricing matters because customers want clarity before committing. Professionalism matters because inviting someone into your home should never feel uncertain.

These priorities also reflect the brand direction documented for the project, including trust and transparency, expertise and professionalism, customer satisfaction, and a reliable but approachable tone.
