Why do some of my appliances seem to trip the power circuit?

This probably means you either have a faulty appliance or an electrical fault. Test the appliance that you suspect in a power point at the other end of the house and if it trips the circuit again, it could be this appliance causing the fault. If not, it may be safest to call Service Today and arrange for a technician to inspect your property, to professionally detect any electrical faults.

Why are my power points getting hot?

What does RCD mean?

The term RCD stands for residual current device, which can also be referred to as a safety switch. The RCD monitors your home’s electrical currents and will disconnect the power if it detects a leak. This could be caused by certain appliances or wiring issues. If your RCD is disconnecting your power frequently, call Service Today immediately and arrange for an electrician to come out ASAP. DO NOT try to fix this on your own.
