The region of Northern Adelaide is situated at the northern end of the Adelaide metropolitan area. The History Precinct in Port Adelaide houses the Maritime Museum, the National Railway Museum and the Aviation Museum. One of the major retail shopping hubs in the district is Westfield Tea Tree Plaza, and the district is also known as being the residence for the Australian pathologist and co-discoverer of penicillin, Howard, Lord Florey. The region has also enjoyed several visits by members of the Royal Family, with four trips made in the last 50 years.
